Mexico Yucuhiti Coffee
A Sweet Bean from Mexico.
This coffee comes to us from more than a mile above sea level near the town of Yucuhiti in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico, where a few years back, a group of farmers—most growing on small, one to two hectare plots—broke off from a larger coop and banded together to form their own group with a focus on organic practices to produce excellent coffee.
After harvest, each farmer processes the beans—a mix of Bourbon and Yellow Caturra varietals—on their own farm using the washed process, which emphasizes the coffee's bright, acidic notes. Then the coffee is dried under the hot Mexican sun. The result is a crisp, sweet, refreshing brew.
